We are very happy to welcome two new members to the Platea Street Photography Collective.
Their portfolios have been added to our website and we’re looking forward to make them part of our collective.
Our fine member in Platea, Jonas Dyhr Rask, has had the honor of being chosen for a group with 123 other street photographers, in becoming one of the 20 most influential street photographers for 2017.
So is Jonas Rask one of the most influential street photographer for 2017?
We can all agree that he is very influential, on many fronts. And very talented. 🙂
So if you agree, then follow and cast your vote via the link below.
In Denmark we only have daylight for about 7 hours a day, in December. If you, like me, love to work creatively with sunlight and shadows, when doing street photography, December can be long. Especially if you have a daytime job.
But I always try to finde a couple of minutes in the afternoon, when the sunlight is warm and beautiful. But it can be hard, since most days are grey and overcast.
But then again. Maybe I just should work on how to be a better photographer when the sun and daylight is away… 🙂
We are very happy to announce that Jonas Dyhr Rask has joined the Platea Street Photo Collective. Jonas is a very active and creative street photographer, living in Aarhus, Denmark. Jonas is an official Fujifilm X-Photographer.
You can read more about Jonas here.
We look forward to work with Jonas, and to enjoy his wonderful photographic work and style.
Three Platea members had a short visit, a cold afternoon the 23 November 2015, in the fantastic Leica Shop in Copenhagen. Unfortunately the discount was too low, even if we ordered 3 Leica M’s. So no orders today. But hopefully Leica Denmark will reconsider and give an offer we can’t refuse!
Brian Jakobsen had the pleasure to meet the Swedish street photographer Mats Alfredsson. Mats was in Copenhagen, and Brian was able to buy three signed copies of Mats’ new street photo book ‘Chicago Streetwalk‘. Brian made two Platea members very happy 🙂
